WASHINGTON, DC - In their first match at home in 2009, men's tennis saw flashes of what the young team can be capable of the rest of the season.
Freshman Richard Blumenfeld paired up with Ugar Atalay in the top doubles match-up for his first career doubles win at George Washington. In the No. 3 doubles match, sophomores Arya Vayghan and Erik Hannah also claimed victory over ECU.
In singles play, Atalay defeated ECU's Dennis Ermilov at the No. 2 flight. Sophomore Yan Levinski, in the No. 3 spot, was victorious over Steven Whitwell.
Men's tennis competes again at home on Feb. 6, at 1 p.m., against the Temple Owls.
