
Maryland Overpowers George Washington in Men's Tennis

COLLEGE PARK, MD - George Washington (2-7, 0-3 A-10) was defeated 6-1 by the University of Maryland (6-1, National Ranking: 53) in men's tennis action early Friday afternoon.
Maryland took all three matches in the doubles competition to earn the doubles point. In singles play, No. 1 seed Mustafa Gencsoy (6-5) was the only Colonial to earn a point. The junior won his match over Maryland's Andrew Orban in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. The Terrapins, in straight sets, claimed the five remaining matches.
The Colonials will look to snap their current five-match losing streak on Saturday when they play host to the University of Delaware at 6:00 p.m. at the Regency Sport and Health Club in McLean, VA.
