Men's Tennis To Compete in Atlantic 10 Tournament

WASHINGTON, DC - The GW Men's Tennis team will travel to Monroeville, PA to compete in the Atlantic 10 Tournament on April 11-13. The tournament will be held at the Oxford Athletic Club and is hosted by Duquesne University.
GW is currently 8-8 in dual matches and is led by junior Matt Hane (Walterboro, SC/Porter-Gaud) who put together a 12-match winning streak earlier this season. Sophomores Matt Treadgold (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem Central) and Jake Jopling (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) have also had solid years for the Colonials, winning 11 and 12 matches respectively. The team will need senior Brett Warner (Vienna, VA/James Madison) and freshman Marius Weigert (Hamburg, Germany/ESI International Academy) to step up if the Colonials hope to make a push for the championship.
Play starts on Friday, Apr. 11 at 8:00 a.m. with the final match of the day beginning at 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, Apr. 12, play begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. The fifth- and seventh-place matches of the Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship will commence on Sunday, Apr. 13 at 8:00 a.m. The championship match and third-place match will follow at 11:00 a.m.
