Men's Tennis Sweeps George Mason, 7-0

WASHINGTON, DC - The Colonials men's tennis team dominated George Mason, 7-0, Friday at GW's Mount Vernon Tennis Facility. All six singles matches were decided in straight sets and no Colonial lost more than five games. With the victory, GW improved to 5-4 on the year while GMU fell to 0-3 in the spring.
Freshman Matt Treadgold (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem Central) and Kevin Wright (Seminole, FL/Thomas Howard Academy) were the most dominant Colonials on the day as each lost just two games at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Earlier, Treadgold and Wright teamed up to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-1.
Next up for the Colonials is a Saturday, Feb. 23 match at Princeton beginning at noon.
