Men's Tennis Tops Duquesne, Loses Battle to Xavier

The Colonials beat the Dukes in an evening dual match on Friday, March 30. After topping Duquesne in doubles play (2-1) behind the strong play of partners Matt Hane and Drew Zamansky who notched a 9-7 victory over the Dukes' David Brady and Paul Tran and Nick Vikstrom and Brett Warner dominated Duquesne's Chin Kampanat and Alanson Yeckley, 8-3 to help GW take the doubles point and a 1-0 lead.
In singles play, GW and DU split 3-3 overall, with Kevin and Kinzie Wright taking both their matches in straight sets with Warner winning his second match of the day preserve the Colonials' 4-3 victory.
In GW's second match of the weekend, the Colonials faced Xavier at Duquesne. After losing the doubles point 1-2, GW split in singles play 3-3 to lose 3-4. Hane, Kinzie Wright and Mike Melen played well to win the three singles points for GW.
