With GW ahead 4-3 in the fourth, Barry drove a pitch over the centerfield wall for his fourth home run of the year to give the Colonials an 8-3 lead.
The score remained the same until Rouhier and the Colonials exploded for six runs in the seventh. Sophomore Tony Dokoupil (Severna Park, MD/ Severna Park) ledoff with his fourth home run of the year to give GW a 9-3 lead. After junior Matt Krimmel (Schnecksville, PA/ Parkland) drew a bases loaded walk to make it 10-3, Rouhier hit a rocket down the left field line to push the lead to 14-3. The Colonials added two more runs in the eighth to make it their highest offensive output of the season.
Junior Chris Worth (North Arlington, NJ/ N. Arlington) was the benefactor of the Colonials offense. Worth pitched five innings allowing three runs on five hits while striking out two to earn his fourth win of the season.
The Colonials return to the field tomorrow as they face the Towson Tigers in Towson, MD. Senior Ron Christie (Lincroft, NJ/ Middletown H.S. South) will get the start for GW as they continue their stretch of six games in six days.
