Hane Receives Rookie of the Week Honors

WASHINGTON, DC (April 9) - The Atlantic 10 announced it¹s weekly citations today, awarding freshman Matt Hane (Walterboro, SC/Porter-Gaud School) Rookie of the Week.

Hane went undefeated this weekend against conference rival St. Bonaventure and Cleveland St. Posting a 4-0 record for the two dual matches, Hane topped SBU's Vili Nurmi 6-2, 6-3 on Friday, April 6, and with teammate Kinzie Wright, won his doubles match in the second spot.

Against Cleveland St., Hane led the Colonials to a 7-0 sweep of the Vikings, beating Cleveland State¹s Adam McCurrio 6-0, 6-0 in the top singles spot, and teamed with GW's Steve Cady, completed his undefeated weekend by winning his doubles match., 8-4. Hane is now 12-5 overall in singles play including a 10-5 record in the #1 spot on the season.
