Colonials Top Bison In Crosstown Battle

Strong play from all singles spots gave GW a 5-1 advantage over the Bison. The Colonials took the top four spots with Matt Hane, Kevin and Kinzie Wright, and Nick Vikstrom taking their matches in straight sets. Freshman Brett Warner also dispatched his opponent in the sixth spot in straight sets, giving GW five of the six singles points.
Mike Melen lost a battle to Howard¹s Khalid Salea-Eddine in three sets 6-7 (4), 6-3, 7-10, to earn the Bison their only point on the day.
In doubles play, GW dominated Howard easily taking the best of three match format 3-0, losing only four total games in the three matches.
GW (5-4) hosts Hampton on February 24, at the Montclair Country Club.
