Michael Herbert joined GW in August 2024 as an assistant athletic trainer and is currently responsible for the primary athletic training coverage of the men’s soccer team. Michael came to GW with a variety of experience working as an athletic trainer, physician extender and orthopedic technician in a hospital, orthopedic surgeon and physical therapy clinical settings. Michael has also completed two athletic training internships in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens. Michael is a graduate of George Mason University with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, and California University of Pennsylvania with a master’s degree in exercise science. Michael enjoys spending time with his two children and engaging in outdoor activities.
