Baseball Places Three on All-Conference Teams

The Atlantic 10 announced on Tuesday that Robbie Lavey (Designated Hitter) and Cristino Tufano (Third Base) were named to the All-Conference Second Team, while Colin Lebel was honored as a member of the All-Rookie Team.

Lavey, who was selected to the A-10 Second Team as a DH in 2024, started in 51 games for GW this season. The junior posted a team-best .337. batting average, finishing with a .349 mark at the dish in A-10 games. He registered 65 hits, drove in a program-best 37 RBI and notched a .529 slugging percentage as well. Lavey drew 42 walks on the season, which ranks third-most for a single season in program history, giving him a .463 on-base percentage, which rose to .474 in conference action. The native of Oakton, Va., tallied 12 doubles and belted eight home runs as well. Lavey finished with 17 multi-hit games, including four games with 3+ hits. He also finished with seven multi-RBI performances as well.

Tufano, who earns his first career all-conference accolade, appeared in 48 games for GW, making 41 starts at third base. The junior finished a career-best .316 from the dish, including a .337 mark in A-10 action. Tufano totaled 48 hits on the season, with 33 coming against conference opponents, while racking up seven doubles, two triples and two homers. Tufano drove in 21 RBI, scored 30 runs and worked 28 walks, giving him an on-base percentage of .439. In the field, Tufano finished with 34 putouts, collected 93 fielding assists and helped turn seven double plays in GW's infield.

Lebel becomes the sixth member of the GW baseball program to be picked to the All-Rookie Team over the past five seasons. The 6-2 righty made 16 appearances out of GW's bullpen and one start in 2026. He tallied 33.1 innings, including 19.1 in A-10 play, collecting 28 strikeouts on the season. Lebel ranked fifth in the A-10 with six saves, nailing down wins against Georgetown (twice), Yale, Rhode Island, La Salle and Saint Louis. Lebel recorded a season-high five strikeouts in a three-inning outing vs. Saint Peter's and also finished the year with three appearances of two innings or more without allowing a hit.
