Patil won the walk-on tryout during his freshman year and solidified his spot on the team in 2002-03. Ameet, called 'The Dream' by his teammates, played in nine rounds as a freshman in 2001-02. That year he shot 80-79 at the Rehoboth Beach Spring Invitational that year and finished 32nd and posted an 80 at the Wesley College Invitational to tie for eighth place. Ameet[apos]s top collegiate finish came at the 2002 Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational where he shot a steady 75-76 to finish 10th, the best finish of any Colonial in the event. Ameet took 2003-04 off but expects to return for 2004-05. The Dream is a big sports fan, in particular the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Ohio State.
