ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Headlined by solid weekends from Solange Skeene, Victoria Sasinka, Madison Lee and Devika Manu, the George Washington tennis team concluded action at the Blue & Gold Invite hosted by Navy this weekend.

Sasinka and Lee both competed in the A flight of singles action, taking on each other in the consolation finals. Sasinka won the match, 6-2, 6-4, finishing 3-1 on the weekend, while Lee concluded the event 2-2. Skeene recorded a 2-1 record in the singles B flight, losing in the main draw semifinals, while Manu also registered a 2-1 record, falling in the flight C semis. Alexandra Lindqvist went 1-1 in flight C for GW as well.

In doubles, the duo of Skeene/Sasinka went 1-1, losing in the main draw semis of the A flight. The pair dispatched opponents from Buffalo after receiving an opening-round bye in the bracket.

GW returns to action next weekend, competing in the River City Open, hosted by Richmond. Action is slated to begin on Friday morning. Follow GWsports.com for the latest news and information.
