George Mason Invite

The George Washington tennis team will stay close to home this weekend, competing in the George Mason Invite hosted in Fairfax, Va., on October 10^th and 11^th. The round-robin event will feature Mount St. Mary's, Delaware State and the host Patriots.

GW is coming off a weather-shortened River City Open last weekend that saw three players finish 2-0 in singles. Karen Verduzco, Laziza Talipova and Laura Damm each went perfect in their two matches, while Solange Skeene, Devika Manu and Allison Snyder finished 1-1. Verduzco is off to a scorching start this fall, holding a 5-1 record in singles, including a 3-1 mark at the Blue & Gold Invite in late September.

The Revolutionaries will have a full slate of student-athletes competing in singles, with all 10 rostered players in the field. GW will also enter five doubles teams, with pairings for this weekend still TBA.
