WASHINGTON – The George Washington tennis team concludes a triple-header of events with the River City Open hosted by Richmond this weekend. The event will open on Friday, Nov. 3 and conclude on Sunday, Nov. 5.
GW's penultimate event of the fall sees seven Revolutionaries competing in the singles bracket. With just one main draw at the event, multiple GW student-athletes could face off against each other with wins in the opening round. Buff & Blue participants include Laziza Talipova, Devika Manu, Karen Verduzco, Alexandra Lindqvist, Victoria Sasinka, Solange Skeene and Madison Lee in the 18-person field.
In doubles, GW will sport three of the eight teams in the field, with Manu/Lindvist, Sasinka/Skeene and Lee/Verduzco making up the pairings. Included in both the singles and doubles draws are participants from the host Spiders, Hampton and GW.
