Golf Heads to Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational

WASHINGTON -Â Fresh off its best finish of the season, GW golf will head to Pennsylvania to take part in the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Nemacolin Resort outside of Pittsburgh.
GW finished seventh at the same event last season with Rodrigo Barahona and Manuel Barbachano posting top-20 finishes. This year's field features A-10 rivals George Mason, Richmond and VCU in addition to power conference foes Penn State and West Virginia. Action begins with 36 holes on Monday following an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday's final round will commence at 8 a.m. with split tees of the 1st and 10th. GW's individual competitors will tee off at 9 a.m. on Monday on Shepherd's Rock Golf Course.
LAST TIME OUT:Â Barbachano led the charge for George Washington at The Goat earlier this week, recording a third-place individual finish with a 1-under 212. GW placed sixth overall in the team competition, two shots better than Georgetown and George Mason.
