Golf Sets Sights on Atlantic 10 Championship

WASHINGTON - GW golf is set to compete at the Atlantic 10 Championship this week at the Evermore Resort in Orlando, Fla., from Tuesday-Thursday.
Last season on the same course, George Washington posted its highest finish in 12 years with a runner-up finish. Manuel Barbachano (t-5) and Rodrigo Barahona (t-7) posted individual top-10 finishes and return to the Buff & Blue lineup this week.
FORMAT
The Atlantic 10 Championship will be a three-round stroke play event with 18 holes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. GW will get started at 8:15 Tuesday on Hole 9, paired up with St. Bonaventure and La Salle. Pairings for Wednesday's and Thursday's rounds will be determined by standings.

GW golf completed its regular season by placing ninth at the Stitch Intercollegiate, hosted by NC State at Lonnie Poole Golf Course on April 11-12.
Rodrigo Barahona was the star of the show for George Washington as he finished in a tie for third individually with a 1-under 212. Barahona finished strong with a 4-under 67 on Saturday with five birdies to counter a singular bogey in his final 18.Â
