Golf Finishes Ninth at Stitch Intercollegiate

RALEIGH, N.C. - GW golf completed its regular season on Saturday afternoon, placing ninth at the Stitch Intercollegiate, hosted by NC State at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
Rodrigo Barahona was the star of the show for George Washington as he finished in a tie for third individually with a 1-under 212. Barahona finished strong with a 4-under 67 on Saturday with five birdies to counter a singular bogey in his final 18.
Phillipe Thorin overcame a tough second round to shoot an even-par 71 in the final round, buoyed by an eagle on the par-5 first hole. As a team, GW saved its best for last with a 2-over 286 in the final round.
GW now turns its attention to the Atlantic 10 Championship, which will be contested on April 22-24 in Orlando, Fla.
