Golf Places T-7th at SeattleU Redhawk Invitational

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - GW golf continued to round in form as the season enters its final month, posting its best performance of the spring season with a t-7th finish at the SeattleU Redhawk invitational, hosted at Chambers Bay Golf Course.
George Washington finished with a 16-over 872, showing steady improvement over each round. After a 14-over 298 to open play on Monday, GW bounced back with a 6-over 290 in the second round while playing the course as a par-71. Tuesday saw the course change to a par-72 and the Buff & Blue took advantage with a 4-under 284.
Adam Bencik had the round of the tournament for GW with a 5-under 67 on Tuesday and also provided the highlight with a hole-in-one on the famed par-3 3rd in Monday's second round.
Bencik finished t-14 individually, a shot behind teammate Rodrigo Barahona who finished in a tie for ninth with a 1-over 215 following rounds of 73 (+2), 70 (-1) and 72 (E). Manuel Barbachano (t-36), Benji Garcia Moreira (t-49) and Philippe Thorin (t-53) rounded out the Buff & Blue lineup while Leo Xu also tied for 53rd as an individual.
GW will make its way back east and return to action in 10 days time when it competes in the final regular season event of the year, the Stitch Intercollegiate hosted by NC State at Lonnie Poole Golf Course on April 11-12.
