Tennis Concludes Fall Season at ITA Regional Championships

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The George Washington tennis team concluded its 2025 fall calendar in the ITA Regional Championships, hosted by Virginia Tech from Oct. 16-21.
Victoria Sasinka was the lone member of the Buff & Blue who qualified for the singles main draw bracket. After losing her opening round match, Sasinka bounced back for a win in the consolation, finishing her weekend with a 1-1 mark.
Alexandra Lindqvist, Karen Verduzco and Madison Lee all finished 1-1 as well, with their victories coming in the qualifying bracket. Lee won her first round matchup before falling in the second round, while Lindqvist and Verduzco each picked up consolation wins after falling in the opening round of qualifying play.
GW did not tally a win in doubles as the teams of Balin/Talipova, Manu/Lindqvist, Sasinka/Skeene and Lee/Verduzco were each ousted in the first round.
The Revolutionaries will now turn their attention to the 2026 spring season, under the guidance of first-year Head Coach Jackie Calla. The regular season is scheduled to begin in late January, with exact dates and opponents still TBD.
