Golf Ties for Seventh at Bash In The Boro

STATESBORO, Ga. - Buoyed by a pair of under-par rounds, GW golf tied for seventh in its penultimate event of the fall season. The Revolutionaries carded a 6-over 870 as a team with sophomore Maxime Lam posting the top individual finish in a tie for 14th.
GW opened the tournament with a 1-under 287 thanks to a pair of 2-under 70s from Lam and Adam Bencik, tying for second as a team through 18 holes. Monday's second round saw Manuel Barbachano post a 1-under 71, but the Buff & Blue struggled as a team with a 9-over 297.
GW bounced back with its best showing of the tournament Tuesday with a 2-under 286 thanks to dueling 4-under 68s from Lam and Evan Eichenlaub.
The hosts Georgia Southern ran away with the team competition, posting a 31-under 833 to win by 16 strokes over Jacksonville State.
GW closes out the fall portion of its schedule with the annual trip to Monterrey, Mexico to host the Monterrey International Invitational on October 24-25 at Campestre Monterrey.
