The Buff & Blue were firing on all cylinders to start, scoring in each of their five at-bats to run-rule the Bonnies.
GW got right to work in the top of the first, scoring four times in the first eight batters. Alexa Williams brought in the first run with an RBI single and was promptly followed by a run-scoring knock from Paige Hayward. Both Williams and Hayward later scored in the frame to make it 4-0.
Williams collected her second RBI in the second to make it 5-0 before GW scored three times in the third on RBIs from Reese Torres, Maggie Greco and Allison Heffley.
The Bonnies cut into the deficit with a pair of runs in the third, but GW responded right back with four tallies in the fourth. Cadence Gilliland plated a run with an RBI single before a Greco RBI hit. Ashley Corpuz then pushed the advantage to 10 at 12-2 with a two-run single.
Torres provided the capper of her three-hit, three-RBI effort with a two-run single in the fifth to account for the final margin.
All nine GW starters recorded at least one hit and scored at least one run in the dominant triumph, tallying 16 hits in total. Seven different Revolutionaries also tallied at least one RBI.
Sophia Torreso went the distance in the circle, yielding two runs on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks for her eighth win of the season.Â
