Golf Wraps Up Regular Season with Sixth-Place Finish

HICKORY, N.C. - GW golf closed its spring regular season with a sixth-place finish at the Wofford Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the Catawba Country Club.
GW improved its score over every round, opening with a 292 in Monday's first 18 before posting a 290 in the second round and a 286 in Tuesday's final 18. The 28-over 868 was 22 shots off the pace of tournament champion South Carolina, which carded a six-over 846.
Jed Dy and Jakub Hrinda led the way individually for the Buff & Blue, each tying for 18th with a 7-over 217. Dy was consistent in the tournament with rounds of 72, 72 and 73 while Hrinda bounced back from a 76 in Monday's second round with a GW-low 68 on Tuesday in a round that featured five birdies.
Rodigo Barahona finished a shot behind his teammates to finish in a tie for 21st with an 8-over 218. Hugo Riboud provided GW's second under-par round of the week with a 2-under 68 in Monday's second round.
