WASHINGTON - GW lacrosse is back on the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field this Saturday, welcoming Duquesne in the A-10 Home Opener. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m. with live coverage available on ESPN+. 

LAST TIME OUT
GW earned its first road win of the season with a 14-11 triumph at Youngstown State on Wednesday, capping off a three-game road swing in style. Emma Nowakowski paced GW with a team-high four goals to secure the squad's third win of the year. The Buff & Blue scored three times in the final 3:45 to break open an 11-11 tie.

BACK OF THE NET
Nowakowski's four goals vs. the Penguins continued a remarkable hot streak that has seen her score multiple goals in five-straight contests, including at least three goals in four of the five games. The High Point transfer paces the Buff & Blue with 23 tallies this season, ranking fourth in the A-10 and 23rd nationally.

Not to be outdone, Desiree Kleberg notched her fourth multi-goal game of the year with a hat trick at Youngstown State. The Quinnipiac transfer is seventh in the A-10, and among the nation's top 100 with 18 markers so far this season.

ABOUT THE DUKES
Duquesne is 5-3 on the season, but has lost consecutive games including a 20-9 setback to No. 23 Richmond in the A-10 opener last Saturday. Corinne Webb leads the Dukes' offense with 21 goals while Mackenzie Leszczynski is not far behind with 18 of her own. Rachel O'Toole has started all eight games in net for the Dukes, owning a .313 save percentage and holding a 13.55 GAA.

Duquesne enters Saturday as the nation's leader with 14.62 turnovers forced per game and is also second in the NCAA with 24.0 ground balls per contest.
