Despite Grace Curry's record-setting hat trick in Friday's contest against the VCU Rams, the GW Revolutionaries dropped to the visitors, 16-10. In the loss, GW moves to 7-5 with a 2-3 mark in conference play.

George Washington scored four goals in the first quarter to contend with VCU's five, but the Rams extended their lead in the second, outscoring GW 3-1 to take a three-goal advantage into halftime.

In the second half, VCU maintained its momentum, outscoring GW 8-5 to secure the win.

Curry led the Buff and Blue with three goals, bringing her season total to 55 and setting a program record for single-season goals. Ava St. Jeanos, Parker Febo, Mia Milkowski, Daisen Iwan and Natalie Varona also got on the board for GW. Milkowski added three assists to lead the team in points.

Stella Ray collected four ground balls, while Merrill Klein caused three turnovers. Iwan led GW with five draw controls. In goal, Gabi Greth and Blythe Gemmill split time and combined for three saves.

GW returns to action Saturday, April 4, at George Mason. Opening draw is set for noon on ESPN+.
