Golf Opens Fall Campaign at Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational

WASHINGTON -Â Following a record-breaking 2022-23 campaign, GW golf swings back into action at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational from Sunday-Tuesday in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Buff & Blue will play 18 holes each day in the three-round tournament with the team competion on the Blue Course and the individuals competing separetly on the Silver Course.

GW returns all seven golfers from last year's team that finished fourth at the Atlantic 10 Championship and earned a spot at the inaugural National Golf Invitational. Jakub Hrinda returns to lead the Revolutionaries after earning A-10 First Team All-Conference and PING All-Region honors a year ago. Hrinda continued his strong play by winning the Slovakian Amateur this summer.
Beyond Hrinda, rising sophomores Rodrigo Barahona and Manuel Barbachano showed quality play over the summer, finishing in the top 15 of the Mexican Amateur and first-year Aksel Moe placed 25th at the German International Amateur Championship.
