WASHINGTON -Â GW golf wraps up its fall season this weekend by hosting the Monterrey Collegiate Classic in Monterrey, Mexico. The Buff & Blue welcome nine other programs for the inaugural event that is played in the home country of sophomore Rodrigo Barahona (a Monterrey native) and Manuel Barbachano.

GW continued its recent run of strong play with a fifth-place finish at the Elon Phoenix Invitational last weekend. The Revolutionaries sat atop the leaderboard after 18 holes and finished the event with a team score of 841, the best of the season so far and third-best in program history. Individually, Jakub Hrinda recorded another top-10 finish with a 6-under 207 that was capped off with a 3-under 68 in the final round.
