Brittany Wilkinson and Kathryn Nohilly each end 2022 with four school records
Fairfax, Va. - George Washington women's indoor track has made a habit of breaking school records this season, and the team made history one final time on Saturday and Sunday. It was a team effort as the Buff & Blue set new high marks in the 4x800 relay and distance medley relay during the A-10 Championships, hosted by George Mason.
The Colonials got started on Saturday afternoon when Margaret Coogan, Brittany Wilkinson, Julia Dempsey and Kathryn Nohilly competed in the women's 4000m DMR. The four runners finished in a time of 11:53.74, which beat the previous school record by .2 seconds.
Wilkinson, Nohilly and Dempsey continued their record smashing pace on Sunday when they joined up with teammate Kirsten Long for the 4x800m relay team. The foursome did not disappoint, demolishing its previous record in the event by more than six seconds, finishing in a time of 9:18.93.
Following this weekend's record breaking performance in the 4x800 and DMR, Brittany Wilkinson now holds GW's top time in the 800m and 400m, while Kathryn Nohilly is the record holder in the 1000m and mile.
