GW sent two standout quartets to the esteemed Penn Relays on Friday afternoon to compete in the men's and women's Distance Medley Relays, and both groups will return to Foggy Bottom with top-10 finishes while the women's team of Claire Bohan, Marcella Mancini, Rylan Priest and Hadley Mahoney etched their names into the GW record book with a new program record in the event. 

Breaking the existing record which was set in the 2018-19 season at the same event, the women's relay cruised to a ninth-place finish in 11:28.29, and immediately following, the GW men - Colin Funk, Ben McLean, Nic Rodgers and Michael Bohlke - earned seventh, racing a 9:50.80 to close the afternoon for the Revolutionaries. 

The women's relay team bested A-10 competition Fordham and Saint Joseph's in the race as the Revolutionaries now prepare for the A-10 Championships, held next Saturday and Sunday in Fairfax, Va.
