Cross Country Proves Successful at Richmond Invitational

In their first competition in three weeks, both the men's and women's cross country teams secured top-three finishes at the Richmond Invitational on Friday, placing among the top three teams out of 20 competitors. Both squads also finished as the highest-performing teams from the Atlantic 10 Conference.
The men's team placed third overall, led by Charles Mwangi, who claimed his third-consecutive individual victory. Mwangi also set a personal best in the 8k, improving his time from 24:35 to 24:17.6, a 17-second improvement.
On the women's side, Hadley Mahoney continued her strong start to the season with a fourth-place finish in the women's 6k. The performance marked Mahoney's third top-five result in as many races this season. The women took second over all with 77 points in a tiebreaker against Richmond.
