Men's and Women's Cross Country Sweep Season Opener

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa,- The GW cross country teams walked away with a dual victory on Friday at the Piper Cross Country Challenge in Shippensburg. The Buff and Blue had twelve female athletes and nine male athletes that competed with at least five runners placing in the top ten for both the men's and women's teams.
The men's cross country team saw much success in their first outing of the season. GW took the top four spots with Otto Erhart in fourth, Joe Fahrney in third, Brayden Bayek in second, and Charles Mbuthia at the top.
The women's team also caught success in their 4,000 meter competition with all twelve runners placing in the top twenty-five. Alexandra Otto took 4th, Claire Bohan placed 3rd, and Hadley Mahoney took 2nd, just behind a Shippensburg alumni.
