GW's track and field team heads to the Atlantic 10 Championships this Saturday and Sunday on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. The meet will be streamed on ESPN+.
Several Revolutionaries are positioned for top finishes this weekend, including reigning A-10 champion Mike Bohlke in the men's 1,500m. The senior has competed in his signature event once this spring, posting a program-record time of 3:40.66. He currently sits third on the conference leaderboard and will compete in the 1,500m and as part of the 4x800-meter relay pool.
Junior Nic Rodgers will run the 800, after leading the league in the event and setting a program-record time of 1:49.22 earlier this season. He was named A-10 Track Performer of the Week following his record-setting run.
Graduate student Megan Heidebrecht, who earned a bronze medal in the triple jump during the indoor season, leads the conference in the outdoor event with a program-record mark of 12.89m. Following her performance at the Virginia Challenge, Heidebrecht was named A-10 Field Performer of the Week. She'll jump for a medal Sunday morning at 10:30.
Sophomore Hadley Mahoney, who earned a bronze medal in the mile during the indoor season, will compete in the 1,500m and two relay events. Earlier this spring, Mahoney set a program record in the 1,500m with a time of 4:23.97, breaking a mark that had stood since the 2021-22 season. She currently ranks third in the A-10 in her event.
