Bohlke Defends A-10 Crown, Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Sees Three Individuals, 4x400 Relay Reach Podium on Day Two of Outdoor Championships

George Washington closed the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships in record-setting fashion Sunday, as the Revolutionaries placed four individuals and a relay team on the podium on the final day of competition.
Senior Mike Bohlke highlighted the men's effort, defending his Atlantic 10 title in the 1,500-meter run with a winning time of 4:03.61. With the win, Bohlke became the first student-athlete in program history to claim back-to-back conference titles in the same event.
Sophomore Hadley Mahoney joined Bohlke on the podium in the 1,500 meter, earning bronze with a 4:28.72 finish for her first outdoor conference medal. In the women's 5,000 meters, senior Una Boylan also captured bronze, posting a personal-best 17:01.35 for her first collegiate medal.
Graduate student Megan Heidebrecht added a silver medal in the women's triple jump, marking GW's first field event medal of the outdoor championships. She recorded a mark of 12.20 meters to finish among the conference's leaders.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Amaka Agwu, Lainey Goldstein, Olivia Clark and Marcella Mancini closed the day with a silver medal in a program-record 3:46.55, becoming the first relay team in program history to reach the podium at the outdoor championships.

In total, the GW women scored 41 points across the two championship meet days with a program-high four medals while the GW men totalled 18. Up next on the schedule for the Revolutionaries ahead of the May 17 NCAA First Round qualifying deadline is Liberty's Last Chance Invitational, scheduled for this Wednesday, May 6, with details to follow.
