Mahoney, Holness Set Program Records as Outdoor Track Enjoys Successful Day at Bison Invitational

GW's track and field team enjoyed a successful Saturday at the Bison Invitational on the campus of Gallaudet University, highlighted by six event wins and two program records.Â
Hadley Mahoney set a program record in her win in the 800m (2:11.79), breaking the previous mark of 2:13.79 set during the 2021-22 season. Kamryn Holness also broke the program record in the 100m hurdles (14.64) with a runner-up finish in the finals.
Sarah Mitchell led a 1-2-3-4 finish in the women's 1,500m, winning in 4:37.50, while Una Boylan (second, PB), Deirdre Kenny (third) and Maya Van Horn (fourth) followed. The men matched that effort, sweeping the top three spots behind Brayden Bayek (first, PB), Andrew McCabe (second, PB) and Otto Erhart (third).
In the distance events, Amelia Ogawa led a sweep of the women's 5K, while Joe Fahrney took second in the men's race with a meet-record 15:52.25.
GW closed the meet with victories in both 4x400-meter relays, with the women's "A" team also setting a meet record.

GW's penultimate weekend of regular season action will begin next Friday with a dual meet weekend, as the Revolutionaries split time between the UVA Challenge and the Morgan State Legacy Meet.
