Colonials will compete in 11 events on Friday afternoon
WASHINGTON - GW outdoor track returns this weekend with the season-opening Richmond Invitational on Friday.
The GW women enter the outdoor season having followed up their A-10 Championship in cross country with an impressive indoor track campaign. The Buff & Blue shattered six indoor school records, with Kathryn Nohilly and Brittany Wilkinson each breaking four records apiece. In addition to Wilkinson and Nohilly, All-Conference runners Margaret Coogan, Peri Pavicic and Olivia Syftestad will make their outdoor season debut down in Richmond.
Meanwhile, the GW men return to action following a cross country season in which they finished seventh in the conference. James Glockenmeier earned an All-Conference nod in the fall, finishing in fifth place overall and becoming the highest male finisher for the Colonials since Ryan Tucker finished third in 2015. Glockenmeier will make his outdoor season debut on Friday in the men's 1500m, while past All-Conference runner Ryan Fowkes will compete in the men's 800m.
