Baseball Summer League Update

Checking in on current and former Colonials in action this summer in collegiate and professional leagues around the nation:
Dominic D'Alessandro | UTL
Valley League | Charlottesville Tomsox
D'Alessandro leads the Valley League with 46 RBI in 30 games and is hitting .336 with nine doubles and six home runs. Splitting time between first base and designated hitter, the rising senior earned an All-Star game selection where he went 2-for-3 with an RBI. He was named the league Player of the Week on July 15 after batting .400 with four home runs and 14 RBI across the previous seven-day period.
Steven Barmakian | OF
New England Collegiate Baseball League | Mystic Schooners
Barmakian owns a .289 batting average and has seven multi-hit games. He has scored 21 runs and collected 12 RBI while also hitting for four doubles, a triple and a home run.
Trevor Kuncl | INF
Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League | Watertown Rapids
The rising sophomore infielder has played in 24 games for Watertown and owns a .233 average with 16 runs, 15 RBI and three homers. He also made one appearance on the mound, working a scoreless inning of relief with a couple of strikeouts.
Jacob Meyer | LHP
Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League | Adirondack Trail Blazers
Meyer has made 11 appearances with one start, working a total of 15 1/3 innings. He's struck out 18 while walking 16 and has four scoreless outings.
Kevin Sylvestri | RHP
Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League | North Jersey Eagles
The rising sophomore has made five appearances on the mound, including one start, and has picked up a pair of saves while accumulating a 3.65 ERA. The right-hander has 16 strikeouts in 12 1/3 innings of work and is holding opponents to a .163 batting average.
At the Next Level
After wrapping up their careers with GW in May, four Colonials have begun their professional careers this summer. Isaiah Pasteur and Brandon Chapman are both in the Gulf Coast League, with Pasteur hitting .316 in six games for the GCL Yankees, and Chapman hitting .273 in seven games for the GCL Braves.
In the Appalachian League, Will Kobos has made five appearances for the Bristol Pirates and has struck out 16 in 10 innings of work. Robbie Metz, a 25th round draft pick by the Colorado Rockies, was assigned to the Boise Hawks of the Northwest League but has yet to see action.
