WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's tennis team continues a stretch of four home matches in five contests on Saturday as Atlantic 10 foe Massachusetts visits the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center during Homecoming Weekend. The Colonials then visit Navy on Sunday.
The Colonials (1-2) most recently dropped a close match to James Madison, 4-3, on Friday - nearly coming back from a 3-1 deficit.
Junior Marie-Louise Decamps enters the weekend as reigning A-10 Player of the Week after grabbing wins in doubles and singles action against JMU, including a three-set triumph in singles to knot the match at 3-3.
Last season the Buff and Blue upset the second-seeded Minutewomen in the A-10 Championship quarterfinal, 4-3. Sophomore Sara Grubac and senior Taylor Nederlander completed the victory with three-set singles victories.
GW downed Navy, 5-2, a year ago as Nederlander, senior Allison Hansen and sophomore Victoria Kogan each notched singles triumphs.
