LAST WEEK: GW went 2-2 in last week's games with wins over Delaware State and Ball State. GW pitchers limited Delaware State to just four hits in a 8-0 victory in Tuesday's home opener. GW then traveled to Winter Haven, Florida, for the RussMatt Invitational where it went 1-2 with a win over Ball State (2-0 on Sunday) and a pair of losses to Kent State.

Williams struck out a career-high seven batters over 7.2 shutout innings to lead the Colonials past Ball State, 2-0, on Sunday. In two starts this season, Williams is 1-0 with a 3.55 ERA and eight strikeouts.
PRESIDENTIAL RIVALS: George Washington and James Madison last played during the 2013 season when the Colonials split a doubleheader at home and lost a single game in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in head coach Gregg Ritchie's first season at the helm of the program. JMU leads the all-time series 39-16.
COLONIALS LEADERS: GW is batting .279 as a team through the first seven games of the year. Junior Andrew Selby leads the Colonials with a .407 average to go with with one double, one triple and one RBI.
Juniors Bobby Campbell and Kevin Mahala have provided the power in the early going. The duo has combined to drive in 11 runs with five doubles, one triple and two home runs.
A LOOK AHEAD: GW will host Cal State Northridge for a three-game series this weekend at Tucker Field. The Colonials and Matadors are completing the home-and-home agreement between the two schools that saw the Colonials visit Northridge last spring. The Matadors took two out of three games in that series.
