The George Washington baseball team dropped Sunday's series finale with Saint Louis, 3-2. The Revolutionaries drop to 12-22 overall and 6-9 in Atlantic 10 contests.
Â
After two scoreless innings to open the game, Saint Louis jumped ahead in the third on a solo home run from Ian Blazier. One inning later, the Billikens tacked on two more runs to take a 3-0 advantage.
Â
GW's bats stayed quiet until the fifth when Conlon Walker recorded the Buff & Blue's first hit of the day. In the sixth, Robbie Lavey's single to right center scored Jack Kent for GW's first run of the day. Charlie Walsh followed it up with an RBI single of his own two batters later, driving in Lavey to make it 3-2.
Â
Neither team could plate a run in the game's final three innings as the Billikens locked down the series win. SLU's Noah Andrunas tossed 5.2 innings, allowing two earned runs in the win. Loren Georger pitched the remaining 3.1 innings in relief, earning his fourth save of the season. Declan Wywoda was charged with the loss for GW after pitching 4.0 innings and allowing three earned runs.
