GW Women's Tennis Begins ITA Regionals on Friday

WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's tennis squad is set to begin the annual ITA Atlantic Region Championships at Old Dominion's Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center on Friday.
Junior Marie-Louise Decamps, sophomore Maria Siopacha and freshman Melis Bayraktaroglu will represent the Colonials in singles play. Siopacha and Bayraktaroglu will pair for doubles action.
Siopacha and Bayraktaroglu will begin singles play in the qualifying draw on Friday. Decamps will compete in the main draw on Saturday.
Main draw doubles play will begin on Friday.
The four-day tournament will conclude on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
The ITA Atlantic Region includes schools located in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. GW and host Old Dominion will be joined by representatives from Bucknell, Coppin State, Delaware, Duquesne, George Mason, Georgetown, Hampton, James Madison, La Salle, Liberty, Longwood, Maryland, Maryland Eastern Shore, Marshall, Morgan State, Mount Saint Mary's, Navy, Norfolk State, Penn State, Pitt, Radford, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Towson, Villanova, Virginia, VCU, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
