PRIOR TO GW: Power pitcher who throws in the upper 80s, low 90s...named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week on 3/20...led the Colonials in strikeouts (70), innings pitched (89.2) and complete games (5) last season...held opponents to a .238 batting average...pitched a complete game four-hitter at UNC-Wilmington in his GW debut on 2/17, followed it up with eight scoreless innings in GW[apos]s 1-0 victory over JMU on 3/8...played for the Orleans Cardinals of the Cape Cod League last summer...will be GW[apos]s number two starter this season...transferred from the University of Richmond prior to last season...pitched 54.2 innings for Richmond as a sophomore...struck out 42 batters...in 1999 he made 13 appearances with one start for the Spiders...did not have a decision, but earned two saves...struck out 17 and walked seven in 24.1 innings of work...registered a save in his first collegiate outing against South Carolina.
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year starter at DeMatha and two-years at Gwyn Park High School...first team All-State, All-Met, All-Conference, All-District and All-County...struck out 87 hitters in 50 innings as a senior.
