The George Washington baseball team fell in the second of its three-game series at George Mason on Saturday, 8-5. GW drops to 17-28 overall and 9-14 in Atlantic 10 contests.

After scoring just one run in yesterday's series opener, GW's bats came alive early, tallying three runs in the game's first four innings to take an early lead. Cristino Tufano got the scoring started in the first, singling up the middle to score Jack Kent. Josh Wenz's double in the second inning plated Charlie Walsh to put the GW Revs ahead 2-0, while Kent's RBI single in the fourth scored Wenz to make it 3-0 Revolutionaries.

The host Patriots answered back in the middle innings, using a solo home run in the fourth and three more runs in the sixth to take a 4-3 advantage.

The lead was short-lived, however, as Kent and Robbie Lavey both hit solo home runs in the seventh to put GW back in front, 5-4. George Mason answered back in the eighth inning with four runs of its own, sealing the victory and the series win for the Patriots.

Max Huag tossed 5.2 innings and allowed four earned runs in his 12^th start of the season. Matt Bruno was charged with the loss, dropping him to 0-3, after allowing four earned runs in 1.2 innings. Drew Harris tossed the final 0.2 for GW, allowing one hit.

GW looks to salvage a win in tomorrow's series finale in Fairfax, with first pitch set for 12:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
