For the sixth time in program history and the first since 2017, the George Washington women's basketball team will participate in the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT). The Revolutionaries will host Bradley on Thursday, March 19, at 6:00 p.m., live on ESPN+.
GW's appearance in the WNIT marks the 24th time the Buff & Blue have played in a postseason tournament, including 18 trips to the NCAA Tournament and six appearances in the WNIT. GW's success in March includes four trips to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and one berth in the NCAA Elite Eight. In the Buff & Blue's five previous WNIT appearances, the Revolutionaries advanced to the third round once (2014) and made one trip to the second round (2002) as well.
GW has shown undeniable growth under first-year Head Coach Ganiyat Adeduntan this season. The Revolutionaries finished the regular season with 15 wins, including seven in A-10 action, both surpassing the program's win totals from the previous two seasons. GW has also seen an uptick in numerous statistical categories compared to the 2024-25 campaign, including points per game, team field goal percentage, team three-point percentage, blocks per game, steals per game, assists per game and scoring margin.
Gabby Reynolds has been a driving force for the team's on-court success. The standout sophomore garnered A-10 All-Conference Third Team accolades at the conclusion of the regular season, finishing the year averaging 13.9 ppg. The guard from Holland, Mich., scored in double figures in 23 of her 31 games played, including GW's final 12 games of the season from Jan. 21-March 5. She reached 10+ points in 14 of the team's 18 conference games and finished the season with 15 games of 15+ points.
