Barahona, Barbachano to Compete in PGA Works Collegiate Championship

WASHINGTON -Â GW golfers Rodrigo Barahona and Manuel Barbachano have been selected to take part in the PGA Works Collegiate Championship, held at Whistling Straits from Monday-Wednesday, May 5-7. Live coverage will be available on Golf Channel from 4-7 p.m. ET each day.
Contested every year since 1987, the Championship highlights competitive golf programs within the scope of the most under-served and/or underrepresented Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) in the country. This year's men's Division I field features nine Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Predominantly Black Institutions as well as 24 individuals from minority ethnicities.
Barahona and Barbachano, both natives of Mexico, will compete in the 54-hole stroke play competition with 18 holes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. They'll compete on the Straits Course on Monday and Wednesday and play the Irish Course on Tuesday.
Tee times will be in threesomes off the first hole between 8:30 a.m. and 1:35 p.m. ET.
