Record-setting game vs. Georgetown, Raise High at GW Coaches Show set the stage
WASHINGTON - GW Athletics, in conjunction with Monumental Sports & Entertainment, announced today that it will continue its longstanding partnership for the 2025-26 basketball seasons with 10 home men's and women's basketball games airing to the more than 2.5 million subscribers on Monumental Sports Network this season.
In addition, the Raise High at GW Coaches Show will return for a sixth season, airing on Monumental Sports Network every other Saturday during the course of the season. The first episode of the season aired prior to the sold-out exhibition game vs. Georgetown on October 18th, while the next episode airs this Saturday, November 1, at 10:30 a.m.
The voice of the Revolutionaries, Byron Kerr, will return to provide play-by-play coverage of all home men's basketball games and will once again be joined on the call by former Siena and Loyola (Md.) head coach and Monumental basketball contributor Jimmy Patsos. Women's basketball alumna and multi-time A-10 Champion Camila Tapias will return in her role as analyst for George Washington women's basketball broadcasts.
"We are proud to continue our partnership with Monumental, which provides added visibility for our programs and excitement for the GW community," said GW Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Lipitz. "Showcasing our university on the region's most-watched local sports platform is especially gratifying in this 50th anniversary season for the Charles E. Smith Center and the Atlantic 10 Conference."
In total, Monumental will air six men's basketball games, including last week's game against Georgetown, and four women's basketball contests on its network in addition to at least 10 more episodes of the Raise High at GW Coaches Show, which debuted last week. The highly-anticipated matchup vs. Georgetown set a new high viewership mark for college hoops on MNMT, as it was the most watched college basketball game aired on the network since 2022, when Monumental Sports & Entertainment purchased the network.
"As we continue to grow our live programming slate, Monumental Sports Network remains deeply committed to showcasing the incredible athletic talent within our region," said Caitlin Mangum, Vice President, Content & Programming at MNMT.
MNMT's GW lineup adds to a growing slate of live programming on the independent local media platform, which serves as the exclusive regional TV home of the NHL's Washington Capitals, NBA's Washington Wizards, WNBA's Washington Mystics, and NBA G League's Capital City Go-Go.
All home game tip-off times have been announced for the 2025-26 men's and women's basketball season. In addition, season tickets for the 2025-26 GW men's and women's basketball campaigns are currently on sale through the GW Athletics Ticket Office (202-99-GWTIX or tickets@gwu.edu).
