WASHINGTON - GW men's basketball continued its roster construction for the 2026-27 season with the signing of Ryder Frost, a rising sophomore transfer from Notre Dame.
"Ryder has great positional size and shooting ability," said head coach Chris Caputo. "He comes from a basketball family and has a great passion for the game. We're excited to have him join us in Foggy Bottom."
A 6-7 wing, Frost played in 26 games for the Fighting Irish in his freshman season, ranking second on the team by shooting 38.5% from beyond the arc on 52 attempts. He made a splash in his first two career appearances, going a perfect 4-of-4 from deep and scoring 15 points vs. Long Island before tallying 10 points vs. Detroit Mercy with two more 3-pointers.
Frost also knocked down multiple 3-pointers three times in ACC play, reaching double digits in 14 minutes at North Carolina (10 points, 3-4 3s) and in 17 minutes at Pittsburgh (12 points, 4-5 3s).
A native of Beverly, Mass., Frost was a consensus top-100 recruit out of Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, ranked as high as 79th by ESPN. He landed on ESPN recruiting director Paul Biancardi's top shot-makers list in 2025 after leading the Under Armour AAU circuit shooting 45% from beyond the arc.
Additionally, Frost was the US All-Star MVP of the 2025 Capital Classic in D.C., making six 3-pointers. He was also the 2024 NEPSAC Class A Player of the Year after putting up 21.6 ppg, 7.7 rpg and 3.2 apg as a junior while winning the league championship.
2026-27 Season Tickets for GW men's basketball are on sale now, starting as low as $125. The Revolutionaries are coming off back-to-back postseason appearances and the program's first postseason win in nine years at Utah Valley in the opening round of the NIT.
