RAISED EXPECTATIONS
GW enters 2025-26 after recording the 16th 20-win campaign in the program's 111 years, doing so for the first time in eight years (2016-17) and tallying 20 regular-season wins for the first time since 2015-16. The Revolutionaries are projected to finish fourth in the A-10 preseason poll, matching the highest for the program since prior to the 2015-16 season that ended in an NIT Championship.
GW tied for a league-high with four players - Rafael Castro (1st Team), Tre Dinkins III (2nd), Trey Autry (3rd) and Christian Jones (3rd) - named to preseason All-Conference teams. The Buff & Blue have also received national recognition, currently ranking 60th in Bart Torvik's preseason rankings (2nd A-10) and 81st in KenPom (4th A-10), one spot ahead of Georgetown.
NEW CREW
GW has seven new players on the roster this season, the fewest among the 14 teams in the A-10. The Buff & Blue return 53.5% of the team's scoring and 50.7% of the team's minutes from last year.
Four of the newcomers - Jean Aranguren, Bubu Benjamin, Tre Dinkins III and Tyrone Marshall Jr. - averaged double digits at the previous stops before coming to Foggy Bottom.
