WASHINGTON -Â GW's latest addition from the transfer portal comes in the form of forward Malachi Arrington from NJIT, head coach Chris Caputo announced on Monday.
"We have been successful over the last couple years of playing bigger in the front court," Caputo said. "Malachi provides some real depth at that position, but also has great potential to develop into a really good player in our system."
The 6'11 rising junior made 51 appearances for the Highlanders the last two years, including 29 games and 15 starts this past season when he averaged 3.9 ppg and 3.7 rpg in 14.0 mpg while shooting 61% from the field.Â
He reached double digits on a pair of occasions this past year vs. Fairleigh Dickinson and Eastern Michigan, the latter of which marked his first career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Arrington had the finest game of his freshman campaign at the Smith Center in November 2024, scoring eight points with four rebounds in 14 minutes against GW.Â
A native of Somerville, N.J., Arrington played at Immaculate Conception High School and won the Non-Public B State Championship in 2023-24.
2026-27 Season Tickets for GW men's basketball are on sale now, starting as low as $70. The Revolutionaries are coming off back-to-back postseason appearances and the program's first postseason win in nine years at Utah Valley in the opening round of the NIT.
