In its A-10 opener at St. Bonaventure, GW lacrosse battled with the Bonnies for the opening 25 minutes of action, fighting back from an early 4-1 deficit to score three unanswered to knot the game at 4-4 with 4:58 to play in the first half, but it was mostly the Bonnies who found success thereafter as the hosts closed the half with two tallies and then controlled the third quarter with a 6-1 surge to take a commanding 12-5 edge into the final period, before finishing off the 14-7 contest.
Emma Nowakowski continued her high-scoring ways with another multiple-goal game for the GW Revs, netting a team-high two goals on five shots (four on goal), while Desiree Kleberg did her best to tally for the visitors, scoring once on a team-high seven shots, also with four on net.
Chamberlaine Bell tallied the team's lone assist, a crucial one to Amelia Moran that drew George Washington even in the second. Bell, Bailey Aaron and Everly Kessler were the other goal scorers for GW.
Mia Caro registered nine saves in net for the Revolutionaries, who return to action Wednesday at Youngstown State for a noon draw.
