Lacrosse Travels North to St. Bonaventure Friday

WASHINGTON– GW lacrosse will travel to St. Bonaventure on Friday for its first A-10 matchup of the season. Opening draw is scheduled for 3 p.m. Live stats will be available here.
HISTORY WITH THE BONNIES
GW beat St. Bonaventure 22-11 at home in 2023. Over the years, GW has won the majority of its matchups against the Bonnies, winning 15 games out of 20.Â
LAST TIME OUT
GW was defeated, 18-13, in its Tuesday matinee with Old Dominion. A-10 Player of the Week Emma Nowakowski, who scored six goals last Saturday against Robert Morris, bested her mark with seven tallies on Tuesday. The graduate student has scored 16 goals in her last three games. Nowakowski also had the most shots on goal (11), a new career-high. Desiree Kleberg scored a season-high five goals and has now potted nine tallies in the last three games. Kleberg also hit a milestone of 100 career goals in the game against Old Dominion. Stella Ray led the team in draw controls (8). Nowakowski and Katie Hipp led the team in ground balls (3).
SO FAR THIS SEASON
Nowakowski leads the team in goals (17), while Everly Kessler, Phoebe Mullarkey and Kleberg lead the squad in assists (5). Stella Ray leads the team in draw controls (34) and ground balls (18). Ray is ranked 33rd in the NCAA in accumulated draw controls. Mullarkey also has the highest shot on goal percentage on the team with a .906.

The Bonnies (3-3) are coming off an 11-9 win against Saint Francis on Tuesday afternoon. Fiona McGovern was named to the A-10 Preseason All-Conference team this season and the Bonnies were selected to finish seventh overall. Brooke Piper leads the team with 16 goals, while McGovern leads the team in assists (9). Megan Schillinger leads the team in accumulated draw controls (23) and Ashley Herrick leads the team in accumulated ground balls (15). St. Bonaventure finished seventh in the A-10 with a record of 6-12 (4-5 A-10) in 2023.
