Lacrosse Set for Saturday Showdown with George Mason

WASHINGTON -Â GW lacrosse continues A-10 play this weekend with a Revolutionary Rivalry matchup against George Mason. Opening draw from Fairfax is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Saturday with live coverage available on ESPN+.

GW lacrosse could not overcome a slow start on Sunday afternoon and fell for the fourth time in as many A-10 contests, 18-9 at the hands of the visiting Davidson Wildcats. Davidson raced out to a 6-0 lead in the first 15 minutes and never let the lead slip below six the rest of the way.

KLEBERG'S HAT TRICKS
Desiree Kleberg potted three goals on Sunday against Davidson, her third hat trick in the last four games for the Revolutionaries. Kleberg has scored at least three goals in six different games for the Buff & Blue this season, accented by a season-high five against ODU on March 5. The grad transfer ranks seventh in the A-10 with 36 points on the season having added 12 assists to her 24 goals on the campaign.

George Mason sits at 7-5 overall on the year and 1-3 in A-10 play following their first conference win of the season over Duquesne last Saturday, 16-9. The Patriots possess the league's top goal-scorer in Shannon Tuozzo, who is among the nation's top-15 with 39 goals on the campaign. Goalkeeper Meghan Deehan is second in the loop with a 10.24 GAA and is seventh with .386 save percentage.
